Most paintings in this body of work were designed to remain unframed -- executed on deeply cradled fine wood or museum-wrapped canvas.

Oakley's pastels vibrate with color and calligraphy. Layers of line and mass describe form and conscious design. Works are accomplished on archival sanded paper and delivered protected but unframed.
